Watching people on blind dates
So I'm in a cafe in North Beach right now doing some work but also watching a couple whom had just met for a blind date. They are both in their mid-30's and so-so looking. The guy had been waiting anxiously before she arrived, only half reading his book. When she came in she apologized for being late and he seemed relieved. She instently started talking a lot and hasn't stopped since. So for about half an hour he's been bobbing his head in agreement and smiling. Are his lips getting tired from smiling constantly? Does he like her? Is she talking a lot because she's nervous? It's interesting to watch and guess how well their date is going.
Ok, now he's talking... never mind. That didn't last for long. Will she find him interesting enough? Does she like someone to listen to her talk alot? Or is she only talking because she's not intersested in him. His body language is still stiff and uncomfortable. She's much more relaxed an confident. He keeps his hands still and in his lap. She uses both hands to gesture while talking.
Maybe they will find love... maybe not.
